Kevin Barrett returns from Turkey Monday, May 23rd

Bediuzzaman Said Nursi
almost singlehandedly saved Islam in Turkey from cultural genocide. Today, the Nursi movement carries on the tradition of speaking truth to power - in part by organizing my 9/11 truth tour. So far I have spoken directly to over 2,000 people, made the front page of a national newspaper, garnered several television and radio interviews, and had the time of my life with an amazing bunch of brothers. I'll be reporting the details when time permits at the TruthJihad blog.

My live radio shows recommence starting Monday the 23rd - talk to you then! Meanwhile, here's the tentative schedule:

About Maidhc Ó Cathail

Although living in Osaka, Japan for the past 12 years, Maidhc Ó Cathail writes extensively on U.S. foreign policy and the Middle East. In addition to writing a monthly column for an Irish language magazine <http://www.beo.ie/alt-cairde-fealltach-an-earraigh-arabaigh.aspx>, his work has been published by Antiwar.com, Arab News, Dissident Voice, Foreign Policy Journal, Forward Magazine (Syria), Information Clearing House, Journal of Turkish Weekly, Khaleej Times, Ma’an News Agency, Middle East Monitor, Palestine Chronicle, Tehran Times, The Nation (Pakistan), Washington Report on Middle East Affairs and many more. Maidhc is also creator and editor of The Passionate Attachment blog.

Maidhc is one of the few Middle East analysts who has challenged the prevailing consensus on the Arab uprisings. For the past couple of months, he has been exposing some of the more prominent--and unlikely--supporters of Arab democracy, in op-eds such as "ElBaradei: Soros's Man in Cairo," "The Junk Bond 'Teflon Guy' Behind Egypt's Nonviolent Revolution," "Egypt: A Virtual Smoking Gun? " "MidEast Democracy: Israel's Diamond in the Rough," and his latest piece, "Arab Dissidents' Strange Bedfellows." These and his other published articles on such subjects as the Israel lobby, 9/11, the so-called war on terror, the Iraq war, and Wikileaks can be found at his website: http://maidhcocathail.wordpress.com/.

Many of Maidhc's articles have been made into highly entertaining and informative You Tube videos by argonium79 <http://argonium79.wordpress.com/>. The most recent video based on his work, "It's the Occupation, Stupid," is featured on the website of the Council for the National Interest.

For those unfamiliar with the eccentricities of Irish orthography, Maidhc is simply the Irish spelling of “Mike.” Maidhc's surname, Ó Cathail, is pronounced something like “Oh-Caw-hill.”
