First hour guest: Dr. Ang Swee Chai, author of From Beirut to Jerusalem
Dr. Ang Swee Chai grew up as a Christian supporter of Israel. The Palestinians, she believed, were "terrorists." Then she saw reports of the 1982 Israeli bombing of Beirut – and responded to an international appeal for an orthopedic surgeon to treat Lebanese war victims. While in Lebanon she witnessed the Israeli-orchestrated massacre of the helpless women and children of the Shatila refugee camp – and her worldview changed dramatically. "This new edition (of From Beirut to Jerusalem) twenty years after the Zionist terrorism in Shabra and Shatila which killed thousands of Palestinian civilians, is a tribute to the ongoing struggle against Zionist occupation in the Holy Lands."
Second hour: Ibrahim Soudy returns to continue the "theological discussion" from four weeks ago. What is the core message of the religion of Islam? Which precepts are so central and so important as to be inescapable, and which areas are up for discussion and debate? (Note: The discussion of these issues will continue next week when Professor Khaled Abou El Fadl, one of America's most important Muslim intellectuals, joins Truth Jihad Radio to discuss his book Reasoning With God: Reclaiming Shari'ah in the Modern Age.)

  1. The 2nd part was 2 Muslims who got carried away discussing their thing. What next ?. You're gonna teach the audience how to park a camel ?. Or maybe a show on how to make an IDE in the kitchen to use against the emissaries of democracy ?.

  2. That's the trouble with these intra-Muslim disputes about trivialities. They sound insane, maybe because they ARE insane ; - )

  3. The 1st hour was very sombre to say the least. It brought to my mind the Quranic passage when the Angels ask God, why is He going to place on earth a creature (Man) that will shed blood and spread corruption (Quran[002:30]). Anyone with a well-grounded answer ?.

As for "Peace" treaty, go ask the native Indians of the american continent about "Peace" treaties with certain kind of people. They have first hand experience.
