Perhaps the Red Dragon will come from China. Although I found much of what he had to say interesting, I most stridently disagree with his rather theoretical claim that Iran will soon have acquired the capability of the Chinese designed and built J-10 multirole fighter in it's military arsenal. It is simply put a "pipe dream" that comes and goes sporadically in the press for nearly the last decade and a half.

Case in point:

China to sell J-10 Fighters to Iran - 2007
http://www.aim.org/guest-column/china-to-sell-j-10-fighter-jets-to-iran/

China Iran weigh 1 billion deal swap Chengdu J-10 fighter for major oil field - 2015
http://www.ibtimes.com/china-iran-weigh-1-billion-deal-swap-chengdu-j-10-fighter-jets-major-oil-field-2042356

Both articles have one thing in common...They are complete bovine excrement.

If you would like, I can list a dozen or so reasons as to why this is, the most important being that Iran just ain't interested for numerous reasons, as well point you in the direction of a website called the Air Combat Information Group that literally has the only real "in the know" experts on this particular topic. The Federation of American Scientists as well as that Congressionally approved fat con-man Anthony Cordesman regularly rip off this source and present it a their own original research, and in Cordesman's case, right before subcommittee.

ACIG ForumAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
