Eid al-Fitr special: "Islam, ecology and animal rights" with Nadeem Haque

Tuesday, August 30th, 9-10 a.m Pacific (noon Eastern) on (archived here a few hours after broadcast).

Guest: Nadeem Haque, author of "The Principles of Animal Advocacy in Islam: Four Integrated Ecognitions" (Society & Animals 19 (2011) 279-290). Nadeem Haque is also the co-author of FROM MICROBITS TO EVERYTHING: A NEW UNIFIED VIEW OF PHYSICS AND COSMOLOGY, as well as other challenging and important works. He is one of a growing number of Islamic thinkers challenging conventional wisdom in various fields using Qur'an as a guide and inspiration - in part because, according to Nadeem, the Qur'an celebrates and encourages the use of human reason.

  1. Kevin, unless I'm mistaken you recently said you'd be making a speaking appearance soon in MN. Can you list the specifics, as there are a couple of 'sotans I would point that way. If I heard wrong, never mind.

  2. I'm working on it - will post something ASAP.
